Why does it always what you say has to be racist? It's true that first generations still do not plainly understand loyalty to our country. Look around: people are still loyal to their old country because their parents are always talking about it; some for nostalgia, for homesickness, or because they expect some day to return to their old country, and their children are between the two worlds. You can admit it or not, but their traditions, language, and way of thinking is about both countries. Some plainly reject this country and expect to go back and never really belong to any of the two. Think about it. That's why I said that we shouldn't vote for first generation of immigrants because they are not from here, nor from there. Look at Padilla, becerra, tlaib. Ihlman and even AOC. Heck, Look at kamala. Some of her high school classmates said that she doesn't even know our history nor our traditions because she came after high school and she doesn't even know our geography because she grew up in Canada! So, whatever Anne said, it is understandable, but has nothing to do with race.

I'm saddened she used this broad short-hand term "Indian" when [I think] what she meant was something different; meaning, I don't think it was about race but about him being a 1st generation American born to immigrants. She is talking about “her own criteria” as she said “I wouldn’t vote for you” and she didn’t say “people should not vote for you”. She has the every right to think so and do so.
Now, on “You are an Indian” remark, she did clarify her point, which is “more generations down the line would give us more security for that position”. I also agree on this point as I am first generation migrant citizen of the U.S. and I do think of situation such as “what if we get into war against Japan…what would I do?”.
Since, I took oath to defend the constitution, I am keep telling myself “You better defend the U.S. & its constitution, even if you have to fight against your own family members in Japan”. I would assume 2nd generation will also have the same issue & theoretical struggle I just mentioned above…
