  1. Another little trick I picked up is when your drinking water is warm not hot your body doesn’t spend energy cooling it down before digestion. Have a second bottle of ice cold water that you can poor on your head and on your nuts. Sounds silly but see how much deeper your breathing is getting ice water on your Willy.

  2. I honestly believe arms on the ropes would actually be better for breathing. Sure they’re in a relaxed position when hanging, but they weight down the diaphragm so the capacity of the lung’s inhalation is reduced. My old wrestling coaches used to tell me the best way to recover was putting my hands over my head and standing up tall. Recently, I learned that actually the more natural position of bending over with our hands on our knees provides the best recovery. As it turned out, our body instinctually knows how to recover its breath pretty well without being counter intuitive.

  3. I’m torn between the arms up on the ropes or hanging down. I’ve always been arms hanging down person, but when I ran track and played football, all my coaches told me to lift my arms up over my head to allow my lungs to expand further and get more air so I’ve started doing a hybrid of both. Or I will hold my guys arms above his head and have him take a few deep breaths three seconds in through the nose three seconds out through the mouth controlled. But definitely taking the mouthpiece out and rinsing it, not getting off of the stool until the bell rings and not chugging water.

  4. Solid advice 👊 do a video on how amateur judges expect you to conduct yourself during before and after a bout. Ive seen loads of youngsters lose over conduct impaired scoring which is 💯 a thing in amateur boxing. Dont stick your tongue out, taught, swear, scream, jump up on the ropes, argue either crowd all things thing could lose you the decision.
