I had hoped, when I first saw this at release, that there would be another movie. Like all movies that deal with AI, current or in progress AI applications (the real smart semi-autonomous sort), there is very little follow up or they make a mockery of the AI. Like how they did with Short Circuit. First movie, pretty good, some comedic points, but it fit in with the quirky AI and its learning curve. Movie 2, too many comedic points, made J5 more naive than in the first movie. It is a matter of something that can learn in nanoseconds what takes the average person years to learn, and that is from books from people who figured stuff out in the past without the help of school or college classes. I loved this movie, since it showed the current robotic (or not so current now) "dogs" for military and civilian law enforcement being built and programmed.
