Yes, totally the state population voted and affirmed the 10 day explanation from reelection of any legislator who failed to be present to do their elective legislative duties as administered by the affirmed state law.

You people voted on the referendum. You ok'd it. They should have being your elected representatives understood it. They could have come back after 9 days with the concept of a plan. The stayed out for 43. They figured naawwww, it won't effect us, but it did. This time they have to take one for the team. Funny part about it is that they actually could have used the dog ate my checkbook and had excuses. They chose to go on vacation. Is there a class in not excepting responsibility for republicans?

As democrat I differ from most of them. I value my right to bear arms tremendously. Until the state of Oregon takes it's responsibility to lead with more integrity and ethical rigor on both sides of the aisle and less terrorism toward people that cannot defend themselves, I am not prepared to vote for laws that further restrict our right to bear arms. Having said that, I have to support the decision made by supreme court. I would have been very disappointed to find out my vote was not taken seriously if they had ruled otherwise. I vote democrat for this reason: The dems do a lousy job of making sure critical services are funded properly in Oregon but the Republicans are worse. With democrats me and my people don't count for much; with republicans we don't count at all.
The minority should not get to block legislation by the majority whenever they like just because they have feelings about that legislation. If you feel strongly and think a majority will support your position, win the next election. In this case the Republicans had started doing this to create grid lock. The people of Oregon disagreed and voted to get rid of law makers that over used this tactic. In this case, the Senators knew they risked being allowed to run for reelection with their behavior. They did it anyway. Now they don't want to face the consequences. That is not how it works.
I do not see how the gun law thing is going to impact "red" counties. Not being able to own a gun until you are 21 is fairly reasonable. That does not mean your parents can't let you use one of theirs for hunting or whatnot. You just can't start your own collection.
As to the other issues, if you do not want your daughter to get an abortion, you might first want to help educate her on the best ways to avoid pregnancy if she decides to be sexually active. The key to this is understanding that parents do not get to make these decisions for their children. If your children do not trust you enough to want to talk to you about this sort of thing, that is your problem. Don't expect the government to take your side and force them to do so. That is not reasonable. People are going to make their own decisions on sex. If you are a fundamentalist Christian who has what mainstream society would consider extreme views, you don't automatically get to make your children do it your way. You can ask them to do so. You can appeal to them. You cannot force them. That is not considered OK anymore.
Oregon is extreme socialist. This is their goal , total domination.

they went to the well too many times and they knew the price when they did it. They should of tryed to negotiate and argue if nothing else cause they just won't accept that they are not gonna win everything. Nothing is set in concrete. Do your job then campaign to change it which will work better once the public gets a taste for what is really going on. Save the walk out technique for only the absolute biggest reasons and don't do it for every little thing. Now you can't be there and represent the other side can ya? Not why they voted for you to be there. Dont' be afraid to lose today and win tomorrow but you got to show up a majority of the time and do your job otherwise and that's too fight this stuff with your presence whether you win today or not it sets the tone for winning it back later with all the ways to do it. campaign and do your job lose or win you still should do your job and nobody wants to hear they just walked out and that sets a precedent that is not why we elected you there to start with. Fight for what you think is right in person not loophole a way to delay and save face
