This was amazing! What a great interview!
My father was a police officer and boy did we disrespect our parents. Although my father was no nonsense and a hot head, I got some of my attitude from him personality wise but not all of it. I was also a kind soul but CONFUSED growing up! He even had his colleagues chase us down for no reason saying we'd be arrested calling us thugs, but that was a stretch! Although I didn't take it as seriously as I should've but later in life my father was RIGHT, his actions were not for nothing! He taught me so many things. A few of which was always be true to your beliefs, don't follow the masses because they're not always right. Meanwhile, back then as a kid I was trying to be in the in crowd but any reservations I had was in reality due to what my parents, grandparents..tried to instill in me. It's what shaped me today to be a strong person and not follow the masses. If they all fall off a bridge will you follow? Not anymore which was only one lesson learned.
Another story, we went pool hopping at 13 years old and the owner heard us, came out with a gun, I only lived 2 blocks away. And here I'm thinking we're just kids, we're not doing anything (at least in my mind we're just messing around) Within MINUTES police came and I was practically running home (only a few blocks away from where I lived) The officers asked were you in that pool? I said no. They saw I was soaking wet! They said listen get home right away the owner is dangerous…and they let me go home. They knew we were just having harmless fun although it was wrong! But I'll never forget it!
There are good apples and bad apples in any profession, but things today are a bit different. I also have another story on how police treated my mother who has mental illness which what they did was terrible towards her, until they realized my father used to be on the force. Regardless of anything, I have high regard and respect for police officers and I'm so proud of my niece, she's now a wonderful police officer!
This podcast was already great but it keeps getting better and better and the guests keep get better and better too. You know who else would be an amazing guest on here Sevan is Bryan Callen from the podcast The Fighter and The Kid. He co hosts with Brendan Shaub. He’s a really good friend of Joe Rogans too. Maybe he could help get Rogan on one day idk but regardless He’ll be a great interview. He’s very intelligent and well rounded on most topics especially all the bullshit going on now in our country/world somewhat like this great guy Brandon Tatum is. Love seeing the podcast and guests continue to grow👊💯🙏🏻
