I never realized how weird Solaire’s neck is 😂
This guy doesn't have a personality for TV, the only thing he's doing is comparing it to historical armor. Whats the point of showing him impossible sets of armor when all he's gonna say is its not realistic. An infant that has developed object permanence could do the same thing.
EXCUSE ME SOLAIRE IS NOT GENERIC sun bro is special
with total war, having sides in different colours makes it a lot easier to play. playing as barbarian factions when they all wear different colours makes watching battles really difficult to know who's who
They should have told him that Solaire's sun is cartooney because he himself painted it, despite not being a professional painter.
My only issue with this episode is that you didn’t give the expert any context on the armor. Multiple times I feel like his opinion would have changed if he had context. Especially the A Plague Tale example.
As a Skyrim fan when he started with "I hate this already" got me lulin
The middle ages according to Play Mobil 😂
Surprised he didn't say anything about the "Roman" stabbing someone through the gut while he was wearing armor…
For the elbow armor girl. It's probably because she just found it. Little armor is better than none
Mind blown!!! Was pretty sure video game armour was 100% accurate.
hope the kingdom come: deliverance devs saw this that must feel nice
I love how accurate KC:D is and seeing experts get excited by it
Yeah, try to take on 6 peasants without armor in this game, and all I can day is good luck!!
Very well spoken professor.
"Never wore clothes made of leather…"? Native Americans anyone?
Why would you pick the 2 dumbest sets of armor in Skyrim?
Why not the steel plate one? Elven? Stahlrim? Dragonbone/Scale !! Even daedric.
You picked iron and glass?!
more of him reacting to For Honor pleaseeeee
I would love to see a video with this guy talking about different total war games, I think it would be interesting to hear about the historical armors that are in total war, and see if they got anything wrong.
I can listen to him talk about kingdom come for an hour
Are we going to talk about how well armored that hog was?
Glass armor upgrade 😂😂😂 never thought of it that way
I think havel armor is petrified dragon scale not actual stone
This man has never played pretend in his life and it shows.
I wanna see Toby play KCD for a few hours and commentate the whole way through I bet he’d love it
At 18:15, Instead of using glass, should been steel or steel plate heavy armor which Uthgurd is wearing. Glass was terrible choice to show. Armor's like Dragon, Daedric, Ebony etc. is bit too phantasy like. Imperial would been fine if it wasn't for the mix of roman and medieval mix. Heck even elven armor had full coverage (though its light armor class).
People in rpg games wondering why their character dies in water….their character wearing a car and a half of metal……LoL glub glub.
For skyrim, I really wish they did ebony armor instead of glass. I think he'd actually have more to say about the ebony than glass.
Send this man some korean mmorpg female armor
I clicked only for the Hyrule Knight Armor, it was placed all the way at the end of the video, and all I get is, "Yeah nice helmet, protects the neck."
about the skyrim glass armor: In the Lore the material is quite detailed described- it functions/ behaves more like fiberglass/ carbon fiber – resin than actual glass.
shoulve showed him fallout 4 power armor with the animation of getting in to show the frame system
He should do Ghost of Tsushima armor sets
Regarding Witcher's armor – true, but I guess it should be some kind of monster protecction the the first place, and chainmail and leather have enough flexibility with somewhat protection against claws etc.
The Witchers armor is made for monsters remember.
Boiled leather with mail is much more protective than just mail, it also is lighter than plate, which is in favor of witchers
I do wonder though, if some of the designs come from a sort of logical piecing together.
Like in A Plague Tail: Innocence, the guy who has just mashed together pieces of armor, as someone who is not an armor expert, and is not, in fact, from medieval times..
I would think "if I couldn't afford proper armor.. I'd rather have a helmet with no neck piece, or a chest plate with no side protection.. than nothing." And apply that to my games, potentially.
The point is there, that yeah, anyone with a sword (and knows how to use it) would have less difficulty dealing damage, but.. it looks like he's more opposing peasants rather than trained knights.
For Plague Story or whatever: Instead of the Elbow, I'd go with the Left Arm with a Long Gauntlet or a knife gauntlet blade. Would make for better gameplay with a melee ability
Glass in Elder Scrolls is actually made of a mineral called malachite, which is both incredibly light and resistent and was prominently used by some Altmer(fancy elves) and Orsimer(not so fancy). To talk about TES armor without diving deep into the lore is just impossible cuz none of it makes any sense to us but makes perfect sense in all the Tamrielic wars, with all the magic infused craziness. Showing him skyrim was like showing movie aliens to an entomologist. Poor guy. 😂
Do monster hunter next
I honestly think that the most realistic armor is the most beautiful one and I respect the guys knowledge, however it is indeed fantasy, and that must be known. A Witcher does not need a helmet, which will block his vision or hearing, it is justified in this world. Or perhaps a stone armor is made out of some magical stone, which is not that heavy. Fantasy is fantasy, for implementing something unrealistic and making it reasonable. Every video game’ armor should be examined individually with the according of all the rules of this particular world
Me: ooh I hope they cover some Skyrim armor
Shows Skyrim armor
Me: not only am I interested in hearing what you have to say, but I’ve also put in so many hours of my life into this game that I know exactly where the character is standing in the game and the fastest way to get there
What have I done with my life😅
Also I know a lot of Different kinds of People Wore leather Which is essentially hide Through the ages Look at native Americans they wore a lot of leather doesn't make them biker Now does it lol😂😂😂
I don't know if this guy knows what he's talking about because I know for a fact a lot of Vikings had horned helmets You see it in a lot of history books Unless History is just lying to us lol
one question.
"look at this guys random leg armour"
isn't that how people would more or less amour themselves at the time? seemingly random, for what's available.
