  1. I was born in the 2000s, but raised on this music as I was mainly around my grandma. For some reason, I prefer the music of this generation more than my own… the lyrics and music were much more classy.

  2. Always mystified by Iommis double tracked solos Trippy concepts on their early releases Orange sunshine window pane. blotter. Blend it with cocaine enter Vol 4 n SBS Started listening as a teenager still get into it in late sixties age not era 😂❤

  3. I remember new years eve, 1979 going into 1980. We were all listening to this, KISS, Aerosmith, Nazareth, Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin, lamenting that there'd never be music as good as in the 70's. In a lot of ways, we were right! Those were good times.

  4. The longer I live, the more I realize this is not a hyperbolic, raging anthem of disaffected youth.

It is a plainspoken diagnosis, in rhyming verse and backed by timeless guitar riffs, of the reality of mankind. Past, present, and future.

My thesis regarding heavy metal of the 70s and 80s:
Pearl-clutching parents and "leaders" didn't hate it because it was Satanic, or "just noise". They hated it because it told truths they didn't want to acknowledge, and spoke this truth to the next generation in ways that cut through the haze of "conventional wisdom" of the time.

War Pigs, Sanitarium, Disposable Heroes, many more that don't immediately spring to mind. They were all true. And now the truth is even worse.

  5. Black Sabbath kicked off at the beginning of the meantime classic hard rock n roll metal public health and wellness and souls of the love of music clubs and record deal thanks for the rest of the year Lorrie
