At one point; especially during the extended time the one hand was not visible to the officer; training should have kicked in and the officer should have pulled his weapon for safety. Cop did not appear to be in control on this one.

Ok, there was all kinds of signs but when that man said "this is my home" for the seconds time he was clearly justifying a defense story to convince himself to fire upon the officer. Idk if that officer was just off his game that day or what, but that is a CLEAR sign to retreat and draw your weapon. 🤦♂️ that man is clearly a cornered rat.
