I couldn't agree more. If you are a convicted felon who has served your time, you still have your constitutional rights when free. That is simply the way the constitution is written. Nowhere does it say, "if you commit a crime you lose your constitutional rights."
But people will say, "violent people shouldn't have access to firearms." No, violent people shouldn't have access to people. They will get a firearm whether or not you want them to. If not a firearm, a hammer, a baseball bat, a hunting knife, a sharpened broomstick, hedge loppers, etc.
If you're scared of them having a gun, releasing them back into the population isn't the solution. They don't care if you strip them of their inalienable constitutional rights. That's all a formality to them.
"Shall not be infringed".
Funny thing about violence when everyone is packing heat: it either never happens in the first place or it sorts itself out.

BREATHING AIR can be categorized as a felony unless they are polticians or government employees. Then, the ability to have guns can be taken away from all these felons and still fit under the Second Amendment. In other words, the govt just needs to find ways to sentence as many people as felons as they can.

I have a friend who was wro gfully convicted of a felony. If this really does happen and he's able to own a gun again I'm going to try to buy him one. If I am able to in Biden's economy.
