Update: Trucking company upset the train didn't swerve? https://www.trains.com/pro/freight/class-i/trucking-firm-countersues-union-pacific-blames-crew-and-crossing-design-for-fatal-texas-crash/
that train outta been movin 55-60 mph
i literally just sent this before i saw the actual speed
Who the heck stops on tracks
Never thought I would see my hometown on Midwest Safety of all places. Especially one as brutal as this case. I hope all the victims rest peacefully.
It's a shame they don't realize that diesel fuel isn't simply going to catch on fire.
I don’t think diesel is flammable like that, considering it takes high compression to ignite it
Ye gods, those first responders are tough as nails. They're all obviously worried and upset, lots of "oh sh-t" reactions, but they kept their cool anyway and kept things moving. Especially the first couple of officers, like the one making panicked phone calls to try to see if his friends were in the wreckage or not. Poor engineers, too 🙁 RIP.
Holy could you imagine hearing something like a train derailment? The sound would be just horrific..
11:30 That's quite the natural body armor!
Hmm with mayor Pete this didn’t make the national news
Pete had trouble with trains
Where I live the scrap metal vultures would have already started trying to stuff a train axle into the back of a mini van
12:41 accurate response to watching a train derail
This is a clear example that conductors and engineers are not paid near enough. Every day their lives are at risk. They deserve more. RIP brothers.
Like my mom used to say, they don’t call them ON PURPOSES!! RIP to the souls lost
These cops need to stop speaking Spanish. Wtf
Trains; the crash that keeps on crashing 😮
Thank Goodness It Wasn't An AMTRAK Passenger Train!!!
That train was tooling. There was nothing but stacking up the cars until the back cars brakes started slowing them down. A lot of questions to be answered.
Is there any indication why the truck stopped on the crossing?
5:25 no way, would missed that one.
oversized loads get comms between train and truck. but the even heavier super load? nah.. they good..
Yeah actually nevermind, I can live with not watching this video.
Sounds like a bureaucratic clusterfuck at the end
