Seems games are at the diminishing return point for fidelity, not much better than CP2077, maybe just more lifelike movement, which is a CPU/Ai thing, not necessarily more GPU demanding. Resolution will be the deciding factor for GPU's now. If DirectX 13 or PS6 comes than we might see another leap, but AAA games are looking pretty dang close to big box movie quality now.

Realism or what looks realistic is not necessarily concept of what looks "amazing" or "epic", but instead believable and possible. In concept of gaming it demands algorithms trying to mimic different laws including things we observe in real life. What makes stuff "realistic" is things seeming and "feeling" to act like in real life. Of course in real life phenomenoms like anomalies might happen, but usually stuff behind those anomalies are chain reactions, possibilities etc… Okay I go to pull my underwear so you guys can continue.
