Once you break the the laws using a gun in a crime you should loose the right to own a gun. Simple
That just means the court wants to decide which felons they prefer
Wold economic forum cowards buying politicians
2nd amendment is a right so u can't take it away
Doesn't matter if it's violent crime or not. ALL laws weather it's State or Federal ARE invalid per the Constitution. Every American IS responsible for their own safety. Not the cops or Government.
I agree. If you paid your debt to society, you have the same rights as anyone else. If you can't trust a felon with a gun, he should still be in prison…. Of course, we all know, if gov is on board, they already found a way to create MORE criminals somehow with this…
Its funny the state with the strictest gun laws and trying to ban them is giving criminals there guns back
What happened to, "Paid their debt. Or, You did the time, you're FREE now??" I get it, it's a CONTINUED punishment for committing a crime. You FK Up & you pay the price, FOREVER. It's supposed to deter people from even thinking about criminal activity. Not only will you go to prison, but your life will be permanently ruined. You won't even be able to vote. So, where do we draw the line on, "Shall not be infringed??"
If you're convicted of a crime using a gun you shouldn't be allowed to own a gun. You forfeit that right when you step on anothers person rights.
As an example, a 3rd DUI in Ohio is a felony. Mandatory 6 months in jail. Okay no one injured, no property damage, you could have been found sleeping in your car in a parking lot BUT your keys are still in the ignition. So you do your time, pay all your fines, deal with the license suspension which i believe is one year, pay a reinstatement fee and you can get a new license, you're legally able do drive again. Now as a felon you can't legally own a gun, can't vote, can't get a government job etc etc. makes no sense.
Obviously you people are misinformed. Exconvicts have no rights. And that's what the government doesn't tell anybody ex-convicts cannot get library cards they can't get government assistance no housing assistance no equal pay for equal work some states in the United States that can't even draw SSI or Social Security ex-convicts have zero rights Google Pam Bondi position on ex-convicts she says they have no right to food shelter aren't you even breathe so read up people you're being lied to
Wonder how this would or could apply to an old Domestic Violence case
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
Wow!
Rock on!
Define non-violent.
Own one but can’t sell one ?
Illegals & criminals are supported by the courts at the same time the courts are limiting regular citizen's rights to firearms. Crazy times.
Thanks for reporting on these stories in a straight-forward, clear manner Roman. When mainstream media does cover stories like this, they manage to confuse the information so you have no idea what they've talking about! 😂❤
The Constitution applies to you on a case by case situation
I agree with the comments so far!
Still waiting for the Overturn in Ca… As if that’ll happen…
Only violent felons should have their 2A stripped from them.
No Free Man shall be denied his rights
Explain why people who have some their time, paid back that debt, and so on.
Can’t have their rights back or they can just not one of them?
What else can they do to fully redeem themselves?
