Thanks for converting to Kg I definitely needed that 😒
I’ve been punched with both, mma gloves hurt way more because of the less padding but the force isn’t necessarily different

Boxing: 641
MMA: 651
Bare hand: 776
clown vid. bigga glove = larger area of impact. smoller glove – smoller area of impact. u know the physics = u can make conclusion.
lighter faster the hand slightly heavier the ufc glove and alot heavier and more drag on the bocing glove
Another issue with this is it looks like those boxing gloves are between 14-16oz, not the 8oz/10oz that professional boxers wear. The force may just be equal
interesting
energy of impact does not magically disappear. padding only allows spreading it across a larger surface. the brain will suffer the exact same acceleration regardless of the thickness of the gloves used. the only change will be in how much damage the fist of the puncher and the face of the guy punched will take.
gloves are the biggest hoax in the history of modern sports. we know they dramatically increase the risk of TBI, and yet we keep them because they make a better show by making shots easier to block and causing only invisible damage instead of visible blood and bruises. just ask any athlete if he would rather finish his career at 30yo with an ugly face or senile like an old man…
Boxing gloves are designed for dozens or hundreds of hits in a fight. MMA fights rarely have anything close to that number.
They are all the same force essentially just dispersed differently
The caption is a test of glove
-boxer punching out of boxing stance with boxing gloves is different from.
-karate master putting on boxing gloves and punching with all his might.
Bas R. is a boss though no mistake ! respect!
My queston. which boxing stance do you think would give the best results for a powerful hook? Great video think this show was called

In my opinion (as a former amateur boxer) the boxing gloves are the most dangerous because of two things… first they give you a sense of significant protection of the hands, digits, and joints which provides confidence in striking performance. Secondly they significantly increase the surface area of the contact area of the hand. This is why i actually find boxers to be the most dangerous strikers. Guys like Mike Perry have bodies that are very atypical and can handle significant trauma which is why he successfully defeats in bare knuckle. If you put him in the ring with mayweather or RJJ when they were active Mike Perry would get ruined. The resin why Perry would win in real life is that the hands are their most prized possession for mayweather and RJJ so they would sacrifice striking for defensive positioning during a fight with someone like Perry. If you went to RJJ and Perry when both active pros and said “fight till the death” then RJJ and mayweather would literally murder Perry unless grappling and not boxing
A fighter is more willing to punch harder and the hard part of an opponent with more glove padding because it protects the hands. Smashing your knuckles is painful.
13 years 😂
All these noobs in the comment section saying gloves are designed to protrct fists and not head are just so clueless. Lmao
I’ve already stayed up almost all night, but this is interesting… 👀
bare fist?
no..
i use bare bones.

Force isnt measured in kilogrammes, but in Newton
Great scientific test with a sample size of 1 (one) per different setup.
who's watching this in 2024 :_ like pls
"Hes fought wearing … and bare kuckles"
Anyone 2024?
4 KG of force is the difference? That’s a big difference, how’s that a small difference? Imagine a 10# dumbbell fall on your toe compared to a 20# dumbbell. There’s definitely a big difference
Force is a totally wrong criteria here you should measure pressure the padding reduces the pressure greatly
But did they measure the speed in which the hand travels? Heavier gloves cause a higher reaction time.
What a stupid test, what makes them think that he's accurately punching each time with the same force?? If the results are based on his actual punch then such measurements are not accurate.

13 Years Later…. and still interesting
ty YT
The results of this video are based on the assumption that guy threw every punch with the exact same force.
Such science
