These always pique my interest. I too had a '68 GT fastback, with the 390/4speed. I rescued it out of a field, put several thousand into it, then got my money back a few years later, unfinished. A Doctor purchased it, and made a '68 1/2 CJ tribute out of it, it looks really good now.
I like cars that look original, but have been improved for performance, handling and safety sake. That is a really nice example of one.
