Second clip looks like 77 with the camera facing South
Fourth clip is 94E just after Huron.
I never, ever want to be in Minnesota. EVER. It's like the Apocalypse has begun there.
Speaking of getting out of the way, I don’t understand why some who may spin out and end up blocking traffic just STAY there. I understand a brief moment of “Oh crap. That was scary.” so you need to just reset yourself but if your vehicle is drivable and unless your head fell off, please move over!
hay! Im driving here!
2:29 — that's 94, not 394. 394 ends at downtown Minneapolis
They aughtta put, "Stay in your vehicle after a crash" on the text signs over the freeways!
1:57 It looks like the car 'spawned' a tire lol
6:09 I heard that discord notification 👀
You would think Minnesota people would know better than to Drive badly in the winter.
Never stop if you are not involved. Move accident vehicles from travel lanes if no serious injury. Mr.nice guy is more trouble than he is worth.
The main thing I dislike about this channel is how many assumptions are made. I would love to hear follow ups on what happened, such as were there charges for impaired or distracted driving, or things like that. I feel when you mention how everyone was probably not paying attention, it kinda lets the ones who truly weren't paying attention or were under the influence off the hook in a way.
Sometimes they are paying attention but do not know how to react in those conditions, as many assume their cars will react the same regardless of weather.
Maybe focus more on the differences in how cars react in snow and ice, and maybe even educational videos on how to properly correct slides and loss of control. Many crashes seem to be overcorrection, which is the natural way people want to react. Also the amount of space between you and the car ahead is often not followed, which caused multiple of the crashes here.
Some of the people who were able to avoid the crashes were due to their knowledge of how to react to the conditions and giving enough space to react.
I do really like how you emphasise how speed is such a major factor in most these crashes, and you can usually tell who is going to crash by who is going faster than everyone else.
kinda nice you said some people got very late reactions or not gonna respond in time as they crash into vehicles infront without any reactions at all.
btw.
nice zipping in the last one.
10:00 could be caused by distraction, but could also have been caused by the trailer not having working lights and the following driver not quite noticing in time. I drive for a living and have had a couple close calls from that
You would think that people living up north would eventually realize ALL you have to do is SLOW DOWN
I have been wondering why the twin cities has enough $ for a camera on every freeway and intersection with a full team of people to monitor them yet they can't seem to have enough $ to treat the roads in a timely fashion.
These are very well done; they are entertaining and informative… the best kind of education possible!
Put the phone down. Modern day Dracula that has power over you… it's sucking your life away.
CELLPHONE DRIVERS ARE THE BEST
I thought everyone that lives up north are the greatest drivers EVER on ice and snow??? How can this be??? Give so much shit when you see an accident in Texas or Oklahoma….
The people helping on the road there isnt a good thing imo. Unless they absolutely needed to be there. I cant imagine why
That 169 is horrible.
"Radiator fluid"? I wonder , does this guy use "blinker fluid"?
The problem is libs moving to a low tax state. Havoc ensues….good luck
As I live in the UK it's interesting to see the difference in road design with the US. I don't know when your country started putting in deformation type barriers between carriageways we have had them pretty much on all roads since before I was born, I think they were installed in the 1970's. We tend to have roundabouts at large junctions as they slow down traffic instead of traffic lights which maybe lead to more higher speed side on impacts. Some of these designs may have helped keep fatalities down in the UK compared to the US which I believe to be 6x that of the UK (per head of population). Anyway nice videos and keep safe out on the roads.
There is way to much tailgating in the Metro Area….. I can drive for days on the interstate and NEVER see a Minnesota State Trooper……. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is failing us all…. Speeding, Tailgating and Road Rage get it under control!!
Every time I see a video like this, it reminds me of why I moved from Ohio to Florida—snow/ice accidents are a distant memory now. At :23—awesome defensive driving skills, that was truly impressive
Love this…live in Colorado, we should do this. We have had so many fatals just recently that it is heartbreaking! People are just not paying attention!
1- IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE ON ICE OR SNOW, STAY THE F..K HOME
2 – SLOW THE F..K DOWN
3 – KEEP YOUR F…KING DISTANCE
4- DRIVE ACCORDING TO THE F…..G CONDITIONS.
5- STAY OFF YOUR F…..G PHONE.
THE REST OF US WANT TO STAY ALIVE.
As a retired 38 year LEO, I frequently watch videos of this type since my specialty was accident (fatal) investigation. This gives me an idea of how these incidents are handled around the country. This particular video is probably the best narrated of all of them. Conclusions were supported and given the limited amount of information, seemed spot on. Well done.
Now if we just eliminate the driver…
Does Minnesota DMV teach when you see an accident, speed up? Also, aren't you people used to driving in snowy conditions?
Nobody not even the owner of the video has enough sense to call it like it is dumb people following too closely SHEESH!!!
Suggestion: Put an arrow on the screen before the crash for a second or two to orient the viewer to where to look.
Nothing makes me more nervous than people getting out of their cars immediately after a collision on a highway.
Computers and Emergency Breaking…. All people have to do here in Minnesota is PAY ATTENTION, STOP TAILGATING and S L O W .. D O W N.!!!!
Most of these accidents were the cause of Driving to fast (Not for the Conditions) and Tailgating, that's Minnesota for ya.
