Near miss with police officer – Immediately pulled over
Officer’s comments from citation:
“While sitting behind a deputy on another traffic stop in the left lane at the LOI, the suspect vehicle came up from behind us and passed at what looked to be highway speeds. I cleared that traffic stop and got behind the suspect vehicle. I conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The driver stated he knew why I was stopping him and said he couldn’t get over. I instructed him that if he couldn’t move over, he needed to significantly slow down. The driver understood. Squad 404 and BWC footage available.”

With how far over the car nearly next to him, yet still slightly behind him is moved to the right side while passing, I’m going to assume half a second prior he tried to move into the right lane only to realize there was a car there. And in a quarter of a second decided to go faster to move as far over as he could in the moment — hence being in both lanes when going by.
That wasn't even close to a close call. Ridiculous ticket and the driver should've plead not guilty.
Close call? As a former Michigander living in Vermont it's funny what flatlanders call close 😂 . I worked traffic control for a while and cars would pass so close the zipper on my jacket would hit mirrors. Also you don't know they're coming cause the hills curves ect.
I drive on these roads almost everyday. Highway 65 North and Viking BL. East Bethel, Ham Lake area.
As a OTR driver I see this all the time. It's dad how inconsiderate people can be to anyone who is on side of the highway. Be considerate to others and have some patience with others.
Cops aren’t even supposed to be listening to the radio, it messes with the audio
Where is the near miss?
Full of 💩
Cop is so mad that he begin to pursuit him really lmaoo
Cops should stop pulling people over in unsafe areas
Lmfao those things are painfully slow
This happens in Vancouver too… Our shoulders are usually enough for even a truck to pull over, yet cops will park in the HOV or exit lane (even the left turning lane on occasion) instead of the shoulder designed for emergency stopping. All it does is put another hazard on the road…
Crazy how the CID read out the vehicles description
So the cop provides back up…then leaves the other cop exposed jus to chase down the car that wasn't even a near miss… so he puts the other cop at risk…. stupid move officer!!
So… what did they do?
Can someone explain if that was an automatic plate reader equipped in this officers car? As soon as he flicked the lights the year, make and model and plate was read off in a computerized voice.????
I do this all the time. I fight it and i win everytime. Cry baby cops everywhere
1:15 officer definitely love classic rock 😂 what?
Insomnia by Periphery is playing. Not only does this officer love metal. He has a high quality taste.
Old people shouldnt have licenses
What?
These mfs do anything to pull someone over
The cops absolutely should have made the car move over to the right to give more room. Also the car was over the dotted line trying to give them lots of room. Does anyone know that road??? Could have been around a corner and at night its hard to tell what side of road their on till you get right up on them. This person was clearly not trying to hurt a cop or break laws but cops are so scared and such dickless pussies that everyone is a threat. FUCK THE POLOCE
You don't have to do shit. Its a courtesy only. Power pull
Cops fault they love to park blocking lanes
I can't be the only one who saw the car in the right lane pushed to the side, almost as if the car in the left lane had tried to merge late but couldn't because of the car occupying the right lane. Maybe?
The driver on the right was right behind the driver on the left… What was the driver on the left supposed to do? Come to a complete stop?
Why are the pigs not on the right shoulder
He was 1/3 of the way in the other lane, just saying. Looks like he did try to move over and created aprox an extra 5 feet of seperation.
oh what a danger to society!! i hope he doesn’t kill 1,100 people a year!! 3 times more than any other countries law enforcement!!
Idk, I wouldn't exactly call that a near miss lol.
Definitely a valid pull over. Most drivers handbooks tell you to slow down and move over if you need to make a turn from the left lane or avoid a clearly marked hazard such as police, fire, and amber lights. They're there for a reason. To inform you to slow down and move over. In most states it is law. Impatience will cost you more time than generosity ever will. 🙂
Those officers could have also told that guy to pull over to the right shoulder instead of sitting there on the left side. Much more room.
