  1. Thank you , I wish my partner would watch your videos ,I watch them religiously hoping one day my partner will watch them . He is in denial about his health , has high BP , no gall bladder , decades on PPI’s and ended up with kidney disease … he seems to think meds will fix it …

  2. Can you make a video about overcoming metabolic problems as a neurodivergent person? We have methylation problems, butyrate cycle problems, dopamine problems, low gut motility etc. how should we tackle diet?

  3. Neutrophils will not be cleared by macrophages in the absence of ascorbic acid according to Professor Margreet Vissers of Otaga University.

Some studies have found that vitamin C may affect HOMA-IR, or the homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance, which is a combination of fasting blood sugar and fasting blood insulin levels:
    Dietary vitamin C
A 2016 study found that dietary vitamin C may reduce the risk of insulin resistance in nondiabetic participants and may also reduce the risk of higher HOMA-IR in diabetic participants. The study also suggested that vitamin C intake may help reduce the development of type 2 diabetes by reducing insulin resistance and oxidative stress.
    Vitamin C supplementation
A 2023 meta-analysis found that high-dose vitamin C supplementation (1000 mg/day or more) for at least 12 weeks may improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes by reducing serum HOMA-IR levels. However, the study also noted that additional high-quality clinical trials are needed to confirm these results.

  4. If my A1C is 5.8 (pre-diabetes) and fasting glucose is 95 mg/dL, but my fasting insulin is low at 3.7 you/ml and Triglycerides is 40 mg/dL, HDL is 64 mg/dL, Triglycerides/HDL is below 1.0 at 0.63. My Homa IR is also below 1.0 at 0.9. Do I have insulin resistance with the high A1C despite all other markers are normal?

I eat low carb and keto diet. I wear CGM and my average blood sugar is around 95-105 with standard deviation of 10-12.

  5. How incredibly well timed. I'm dealing with myasthenia gravis and after a major exacerbation 3 months ago I've on 25mg Prednisolone and 1g Mycophenolate Mofetil daily – which are necessary to dampen down production of the rogue B-cell AChR antibody at the core of this condition.

My latest CBC has my WBC at 6.2, Neutrophils at 5.5 and Lymphocytes at 0.5 yielding a NLR of 11. Of course the high dose of Prednisolone is also forcing a relatively high HOMA-IR of 12 and generally messing with everything. Lots of interesting food for thought here and I really appreciate the insights.

  6. I have a few older friends who are suffering various health conditions but they all seem to be insulin resistant. Meanwhile they are eating duck food and relying on their doctors to fix the problem.

  7. Stop eating carbohydrates. It always comes down the same thing. Just stop eating carbohydrates. A substance that is not required to be eaten and causes endless problems when you do. No tests required. Just stop.

  8. I take NAC daily now, usually at nite, before bed. Also do intermittent fasting regularly, primarily carnivore, bacon, eggs, beef, sometimes a fried (in butter) potato, nuts and seeds a little fruit…….try not to eat several hours before bed. If I do, I wake up with dry mouth (sticky) always have to pee (middle of nite) sometimes I can get back to sleep, sometimes not so much. Been better since taking NAC, also take synergistic vitamin and herb supplement at least once a day (Doeterra vitality pack) I think I have fatty liver and pancreas problems getting somewhat better since NAC. Also take a cardio vascular supplement every morning with magnesium. (Pro-Argi 9+) I had 7 heart surgeries in 2019, I also take turmeric daily, seems to help too…..
