Hint: the way they measure inflation. It's much higher than 8.6%
How do you explain when gas goes from $1.97 to $5 a gal that inflation is 9 per cent. Milk $2.25 to $3.50 a gal, ground beef $3.75 to $5.75 a pound. You get the point.
