You don't need to explain why RDR worked. It's GTA in the old west.
I'm pretty sure this would work with any other setting too… Medieval GTA, Feudal Japan GTA, Viking GTA, GTA in space, Lovecraftian GTA, WWI/WWII GTA…
Just replace cars with some other mobility mechanics, and add better melee if needed…
If they keep the GTA/RDR quality level, great game guaranteed

Been playing RDR1 since 2012 and I’m just gonna say it, this game is better than the second game sorry Arthur fanboys nothing will surpass RDR1 for me
I don't think I will buy any ports from Rockstar anymore. I am tired of ports in general, the xbox version can be emulated easily enough, I don't think I need anything more than that.

Read dead redemption 2 was a prequel to read dead redemption 1, Read dead redemption 1 was good having mexico, Giving a variety in scenery And good dlc, Where read dead redemption 2 was better on it's graphics, Weather etc and pvp mechanics and just shame the story was short to how it was originally going to be set, Still i loved both games for the storys, And tbf pvp was broke in no time due to mod menu hackers ruining the public lobbies all the time, So on that one, read dead redemption 1 takes the crown on that one 😉

I've said it before and i'll say it again…. don't care…. unless they remake it in RDR2 then not interested….. seeing as they can't be bothered to make an update with clothing customization like opening and closing tops(vests…coats and the like) or hat tilting which should have already been in the game on release day…

I was just playing RDR1 yesterday on Xbox, it feels Different from RDR2 Storymode…one game is Doing multiple things better that the other one didn't…. RDR2 Needs DLC Badly for Storymode.
Call of juarez was boring but a certain level had you reading bible verses from one hand and in the other you had a gun shooting at people. Just for that it's worth playing.
This game aged like fine wine. 👌🏿🔥 It's a shame tho they didn't go all out and do an actual remake in the new engine like what Capcom was doing with the Resident Evil game's instead they rather they chose to just do a straightforward port.
