When we meditate and reflect on the things of God and on the Word, The Holy Spirit leads us to do godly things, that can affect our thoughts, actions, deeds and attitudes. However, if what your being prompted to isn't godly, it may be your flesh trying to get you to think about it, and fall into desires and physical pleasures that are not god-orientated. That's why the spirit and the flesh are in battle.
