497 Miles and Now THIS – Trapped in a Midwest Winter Storm

Winter in the Midwest is no joke. After driving 497 miles, we thought we had everything under control… until a snowstorm changed our plans. Now, we’re setting roots and waiting out the storm, exploring Ohio when most people would rather stay warm inside.

This series draws inspiration from creators like Outdoor Boys and Peter Santenello, combining adventure and heartfelt storytelling. If you enjoy their content, this video is for you.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s really like to travel and camp during a Midwest winter, this adventure is for you.

  1. With the frost free hydrants, you want to disconnect and turn it off when not in use. They prevent freezing in the hydrant by draining the water down to below the frost line. When it's on, it can't drain.

Fill your tank and keep it heated. and leave the hose off until you need to refill the tank.

  2. So funny to hear you say a local park!! I live in northern KY am from Cincinnati😂
Eastfork state park is closer to jungle Jim’s you could have stayed there. That where we stay.

  3. I know you guys are super busy, but if you could let me know what video is where you started your Alaska trip that would be great. I’ve already watched them all, but my husband would like to start from the beginning and watch them again.

  4. Hi! In this video you mention how difficult it can be to make your bed, we have used Quick Zip for the past two years and we love them, you may even get another sponsor, safe and fun travels!!

  5. Reminds me a lot of my 4-week trip in '23 and can't wait to start in again. Need to juggle two calendar items… our KoC annual fundraiser and weekly rehearsals for a spring concert and try to fit a nice trip among (between?) those two events. Trying to think when the best time of year and best route for a major trip from Alabama to points west… including where to cross the divide with the least strain/worry on pulling the '21, 22' TT with my '05 1/2 ton.
