  1. These are my labs from a couple weeks ago and from appx 2 years ago. The doc DIDN'T get an insulin test 2 years ago so that is missing. I am guessing it was over 10
    Tri. 95 /69. Now
    Hdl 61/ 74
    Insulin ?/ 3.2
    Glucose 122/ 89 now.
After 2 years and huge lifestyle change. I also was type 2, NAFLD and cleared now. Still have stage 4 to the liver. Alt and ast is like 10 & 13

  2. Thanks for the information!
My problem is, that the results of these labs are changing.
Now i got 7.5 fasting insulin, 5 mol glucose, 1.65 HOMA IR, but in september these results were significantly lower.

  3. What a great video, thank you so much. I've recently been concerned about insulin resistance although I've been on strict keto for over 2 yr I suddenly started craving carbs a couple of months ago. (apples then Cheez its, then red hots). Anyway I found a doctor and had some blood labs done. My glucose was 147 so I'm going in this week for an A1c and also my LDL's were high (I eat a lot of fat so wasn't surprised). I
don't know what to look for but know that my labs will be interpreted differently since being on keto for so long. Your site and info is what I need to find to help me figure it out as my doctor, I'm afraid hasn't got a clue. Thanks again for sharing, p

  4. Thank you for recommending these tests. I had them done and my triglycerides were 77, HDL 62, insulin 1.7, Glucose 93. My total cholesterol was 405 and LDL was 325. I know you said not to worry about cholesterol or LDL…should I be concerned? Also did tge omega panel. Omega 3 was 4.0 and Omega 6 was 6.4. Thank you for your time.

  5. Hey there Karl, I appreciate this video. I got my results back. I have been very strict with my diet the past 14 months and these results helped solidify I am doing much better than I was 100 pounds ago. My homa-ir was .3 and TyG Index = 4.17. There have probably only been 7 days the past year I have fasted no less than 16hours and have consumed less than 50grams of added white sugar this year. Zero high fructose corn syrup or its siblings dextrose, ect. I would not have this happy feeling if I weren't encouraged by you to actually spend the $ for the tests. This is very helpful for someone like myself who does not have health insurance. My total cholesterol was 228, I'm not sure how worried I should be, but I have reduced my eggs from 14/week to ~10 and I'm not eating a full pound of 80/20 ground beef for dinner each night anymore.. going to see what that does the next 90 days.

  6. Another excellent video, thank you. What is your opinion of the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) and the Kraft Insulin Survey Test (eg, by Meridian Valley Lab)? These tests, instead of relying upon one moment in time, track glucose and insulin over a period of time (0-4 hours) and show how quickly glucose and insulin return to normal. Kraft identifies distinct patterns of response. I would love to see how you use these tests and how you evaluate the numbers including what reference ranges you feel are appropriate. Thank you.

  7. I get so annoyed when folks say I gave insulin resistance to my self by eating too many carbs. I have been D for 12 years my elder sister is D my mum was D my cousins 6 out of a family of 8 are D we are all very skinny also my maternal grandmother I eat very little don't eat many carbs and no junk food can you explain why then are we all D. No one can explain this to me so can you.

  8. Hi doctor, I did the lab tests but I cannot access the website you suggested. Could you be so kind and run the numbers for me? Here are the results: Triglycerides 77, HDL Cholesterol 88, Glucose 91, Insulin 4.4. I wanted to insert pictures of my results but I don't know how. Thank you for all your precious information you share with us. Today I made Judy's vanilla ice cream recipe. Delicious!

  9. Hawaii requires a doctors order to do any testing. Can this be ordered by sending in a blood sample to a lab and get my results online? If so, any recommendations? I know a few labs will issue a physicians order but I’m not sure if the physician needs to be practicing and licensed in the State of Hawaii

  10. got the labs done but didn't know their meaning,
my total cholesterol is 262 HDL 44 LDL 181 Triglycerides 187… RATIOS: cholesterol/ HDL ratio 5.96 … Triglycerides / HDL ratio 4.25 and LDL / HDL ratio 4.11.. I'm 30 athletic, a bit overweight which i'm drastically losing weight with fasting and PSMF

    should i be concerned?
    Thanks doc, very informative

  11. Hey doctor thanks for another great video. My doctor wanted to put me on blood pressure meds, sent me to a “specialist “ and put me on three blood pressure meds. The blood pressure never moved 170/100. I found the carnivore diet, ate once a day, and the culprit was insulin. Instead of making me sick, I wish doctors did labs again. 4 doctors total, never got a lab…. not one. I fired them have lost 60 pounds and my bp is in the normal range without meds!! Once again, I thank real doctors like you for bringing this information. ❤️

  12. I went on the Ulta website to see if they have any Labs near me in NYS but, nope. I cannot order my own labs which would be VERY helpful. Instead I have to go to my doctors, pay the high co-pay, and ask them to order it for me…
