I want to change my driver i have a Ping G425 SFT to have more distance but i slice so is the Elyte X would be great for me? I don't want to slice more than now so Cobra Adapt max D or Ping g440 SFT are in my choice too… more distance but same draw bias or more than my Ping G425 SFT what are the bests choices rank 1 to 3 please thanks!
Hmmm. Fireplaces and Golf Clubs
I would be considered a mid handicap golfer. Because of the way I swing, I naturally generate more spin with a higher launch with my driver. I was losing distance and control with my drives due to the spin rate. I was fitted for a LS driver and it helped me maintain consistent distance and shot groups. Same with the rest of my clubs. It’s important to get properly fitted along with lessons if you’re trying to improve your game. Taking out the LS models doesn’t show the whole picture in my opinion. Just because you’re a mid to high handicap player doesn’t mean you fall into a specific category of clubs. If you’re new to golf, get lessons, play for a year using what you learned and then get a proper fitting for clubs that complement your game.
Eliminating draw bias or anti slice drivers for high handicap golfers is a bit puzzling to me since most amateurs, especially high handicappers, slice the ball. I play with a lot of different high handicap golfers. It's been a long time since I've seen any of them hook the ball as their normal miss. JMO
I've watched this video several times, had a fitting for a driver today and used the top 3 on this list for my fitting. Once we got the right shaft for me the Ping G440 Max was my best followed by the Callaway and I couldn't hit the Taylor made to save my life. I averaged 15 yards further with the Ping over Callaway. I also liked the sound of the Ping over the others.
From your overall hitting across all clubs, I actually think the cobra deserves a higher ranking at least number two. This is just from the results and your expression after you hit it.
QI35 core sucks. I hated it and actually went back to sim2. Instant change in performance.
I love how they're handling the club heads like priceless Fabrochet eggs, knowing full well they're made to directly impact solid objects at 100+ mph, thousands of times.
Can't be a thorough test when you didnt test half of the drivers
I can tell you one thing about the Srixon, it is longer than TM AND forgiving. Also, the face won't come flying off like TM's carbon faces.
Umh, am I missing something here? You eliminate the draw bias heads where slice is the biggest problem for high handicapper? Sure helped me drop 5 shots per round.
You guys missed the best driver for mid-high handicap Tour Edge E725
When I went to a fitting, I didn't have a driver in mind. I have been playing a cobra L5V with a diamana shaft since it came out….08? The drivers I physically could not keep straight was the ping 440 and the qi35. I really like the dark speed and elyte and I got fitted into Callaway elyte hybrid and fairway wood. Surprisingly, I hit my own L5V further and straighter than any other club I tried. So there wasn't a need to upgrade yet. But if i did upgrade it would be the adapt max k or the elyte core.
Ping 430 max is a very straight with a 3 to 5 yard fade. Ping 440 is straight down the pipe every time. 430 max consistent 250 to 258 yds……440 max consistent 265 to 270 approximately. 90 to100 swing speed
I have the Ping 440 max and the Ping 430 max. I love both drivers, but the 440max is about 5 to 10 yard longer.
Qi10 is better than qi35 😂. . . Elyte and gt3 are best two drivers folks pings 3rd
When guys are complaining about the S'ound " of a driver … I though tthis was going to be worth watching until I saw these guys swing the driver. It really just comes down to their personal preference vs actual results lol. Thise golf swings need to be scrapped lol
I only made it into the first four minutes of the video. What a strange reason to eliminate the Kirkland. You know that Costco has a website right?… Oh nevermind… I just figured out the real reason you eliminated it… It's because it's a model you don't sell in your store… Hmmm
You guys are better off reviewing drive thrus vs drivers…
Picking max models over core models is a mistake I think.
I'm a perfectionist when it comes to comparison consistancy. And these guys one shot and judge method is definitely too inconsistant of a variable to make a judgement call. The human variable is already inconsistent enough. So to make performance judgements on anything but a perfect contact and identical swing speed of every club, is not going to be an accurate judgement.
You can't judge drivers on one swing plus the shaft is more important.
I took by Ping G 400 LST to Champions to get fitted for a new driver just because I wanted a new driver. The fitter told me he couldn’t help me because I already had the best driver made.
Liked the fact that unlike most reviews, your swings are closer to mine. I wish the ranking were done without draw mode. Would’ve liked a full unbias challenge
“Crap pile”….give me a break. Child
Excellent video, I will be in the market maybe for a new driver in next 2 months. I am asking for any independent information on a driver you haven't reviewed because its an off brand, The Maxvert 1 or 2 driver. Is it any good, it's supposed to be specifically for senior golfers, I am 65 years old, a 14hcp. Can you share any information on this driver's performance. I don't want to spend top dollar for a driver because I only use it on a few holes of the 18. I'd rather spend my money on scoring clubs; wedges, putter, 6-9. Please advise, TY
Elyte is clear number 1 imo. Ping is 2nd and the rest can be arranged any way you want
Pretty pointless test, as these two already knew who their winner was before the test even started, I mean, cmon.
I really need you guys to open up in my area. You're about 12+ hours away from me right now lol. Come to TN, I'd absolutely choose to build a relationship and pay double what I might pay online to have professional tools, advice and assistance to up my golf game.
I tested every driver Edwin watts had this year and the Taylor made QI10 was the best for me, I’m 58 and my swing speed is about 85-90 mph
what a terrible test
You started with the Qi35 core but finished with the Qi35 max for 2nd place. I think anyway….
25:06 YOU DONE? 😂
27:21 Mine does.
27:28 Indeed.
WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT THE BEST DRIVER AND ALL CLUBS ARE THE ONES YOU HIT BEST END OF
Every golfer has to have the capability to shape their shot. Yes, they may be overall poor players but when you're confronted with dogleg left or dogleg right and the ever present tree you simply have to make an effort to shape your shot. If you're going to determine the best driver that should be a major consideration. I had a TaylorMade Tour Burner with a two degree draw bias. It was very difficult to control the flight. How does that self adjusting Callaway standup to the others when shot shape is considered? Many of these clubs today start with a built in bias. I would not buy a club today that I could not adjust to look normal at setup. Most of the folks I've talked with like the "24" Ping driver. How does that stack up with these "25" models? I have a friend who this week just bought that Callaway driver in lieu of the Ping. Apparently Ping is in a state of confusion….too good or too bad?
Just as well this review is for high handicappers, because that’s where these swings would fall. I need to move on…
Without a robot swinging you literally can't come to enough margin of air based on swing style bias in any other factor. Pointless.
payed off
I had a fitting at a cost of 75 bucks and low and behold they recommended the most expensive set up. I brought in my R7 Quad and it was on average 5 yards longer and the spin rate was about the same. I hit the ball really straight with both of them. Save your money and take lessons instead.
Why no "tour edge"?
GT2 ?
Guys….your videos are golden. Its totally building your brand. Please keep it up.
2 words….Tour Edge!!
I just started golfing 4 months ago, I’m a 22 handicap and just got fitted with the Titleist GT2 9.0° driver. It felt AMAZING! Can’t wait to get it in the bag!
I feel like the if the Ping G430 Max 10K was allowed on that list, it would win.
When I got fitted, I was torn between the Cobra and Callaway. The Callaway edged it out. You made a point about that ai face. Even on toe hits, I can get it out past 260 without a ton of extra spin.
I'm kind of disappointed in the club heads that correct your bad swing. Im not great and do hit a bad shot on more than a few occasions but i want to correct it by fixing my swing nit buy a vlub head that does it for me. I hit a draw shot a lot and i want to fix it in my swing not the club head counter balancing it.
Who's still rocking a McHenry that is well over 20 years old?
I noticed the shafts each of you used looked identical . Are they and if not what’s different. What are they, why do you love them?
So are these driver tested with stock shafts and if so which ones or were they fit with custom shafts?
