I am good with eye contact but it’s when other people don’t follow the 80/20 rule where I have to look other places when they maintain eye contact too much
This is diffrent for people with autism, It helps for me,that in the Netherlands we are more direct and less beat around the bush, but if I tell that I have bad social skills people say ,that it's not that bad
Im good on 1 n 2 but number 3 is where i struggle and its more of a mental thing i guess because i could look you dead in the face pay attention and sometimes still miss what u said i struggle with focus
I used to struggle with eye contact so much until something just snapped in me and now I can full on stare people in the eye, especially when I don't like them
Quick question on the first point: What if you grew up in a culture where it is considered disrespectful to look at someone in the eyes, especially people older than you? My stepdad has been teaching me to make eye contact cause he said what you said, and I am making progress. Although for people who don't have or know that, what can they do to let the other party know its not intentionally bad behavior because it's how they were raised traditional.
Again, thanks for your videos. You are massive helpful 👏🏼
I maintain eye contact understand social ques and pay attention and I can’t keep a conversation for more then 5 mins before I stare at them and they leave and come back later to talk to me again and repeat 💀
I'm not good at maintaining eye contact cause usually I'm looking at something else, like people passing in the background, a sign, or I'm just looking at a random direction. And like, I only realized it after the conversation ended. I'd be like "shit, I did it again".
I have ADHD and i was diagnosed with it a couple years ago for me eye contact is what i struggle with because if i look you in the eyes i am focusing on that and not what your saying
Thanks pierre to make us better in every way
Surprisingly, I've been drastically improving in these EXACT areas!!!! Excited for P2 (if it hasn't already been posted)
I dont have this issue if anything its my facial expressions, eyes or voice
Normal ADHD behaviours … unfortunately not acceptable in neurotypical society

Dude, you don't just stare someone in the eyes when you're trying to remember something😂
"Your attention span is coocked man"
IS WORSE THAN A 1000 rejection💀⚰️🫀

I maintain eye contact when I talk to boys but not when I talk to girls
Your a mature all round good guy ❤😊
The third one is just flat out disrespectful. Not paying attention to someone talking to you is annoying.
Okay but how do I actually maintain a conversation
I used to struggle with eye contact so much until something just snapped in me and now I can full on stare people in the eye, especially when I don't like them
Bruda wait there was more I was tryna hear that shi 😢
So what do I do if mostly everyone else has bad social skills? Most people can’t pay attention for more than 3 seconds.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂The second one
Hey, Pierre. Love your videos, man.

My sister does the last one exactly how you showed it. It is so annoying and frustrating
"yeah, love my new chicken"
The eye contact rule is always tricky cause some cultures you are taught otherwise
And remember, the easiest way to improve your social skills is to practice

Why is this on my recommended? I don’t need signs because I already know I have bad social skills lol.

I am autistic I try most of these things they just don't work it the autism.
if you want to give a more intimidating eye contact, you can just stare at their top of the nose.
that’s what my dad taught me, but i live in a pretty safe enviroment currently
Everyone gangsta until the person you’re talking to says “he bro why aren’t you looking me in the eyes?”
Im pretty sure he mamed me in 1738329475849394958587383849483738166373747474738829229910103746483299119284848 different languages
