  1. All I see in the gym is guys who are hiding their legs… it's like when Deadpool had baby legs… . I tell myself, "Trees grow from the ground up….not from the top down. " .. . The V M O will help save your knees, too. GOD rest you Sir.. vodeos are timeless and awesome .

  2. 8 and 9 are so true. Legs require reps. I tell this to my clients all the time. I've noticed the reason for this is because your legs try to tell you you're done with the set LONG before they're actually done, whereas upper body muscle groups are more accurate with this feeling. You might only have 2 to 3 reps left in the tank when you feel like you're almost done with an upper body set, whereas with the legs you can have 8 more reps to go

  3. I'm old skool, and back in the day, I remember reading that in order for the hormones to leave the pituitary gland situated at the base of the brain at the nape of the neck, thereabouts, and travel down to the legs for growth, there must be a damn good reason. The legs are the strongest part of the body and can take a lot of weight. I was taught to do more or less as you say here. Three sets of eight ain't gonna cut it. What are they scared of. A lot 'o' guys don't have what it takes, and it shows. They'd rather have turnip legs😅, is that what you said, and a disproportionately big top half. They kid themselves it looks good. Well, I hate that look. It looks lazy as well as ridiculous and on top 'o' that it has the look of not having trained your legs ever. Maybe some guys have a valid reason for this, they have my compassion, but it ain't genetics.
If I seem aggressive, it's just that I'm passionate and getting psyched for my leg session after this post. I'm taking no prisoners😮🤪😝😢😅
    Great post👍❤

  4. How good are these. John you are a legend forever. Thanks to you and your family for putting this up.
I've never heard of most of these tips. Very interesting and helpful. I'm reping it out right now while watching. My hams are on fire.

  5. I love how these guys promote using weight that will help build the muscle, instead of worrying about what is heavy. I think the majority of gym-goers are in there to make their bodies look and feel better, not necessarily for the purpose of powerlifting. So, sometimes, you need to lighten up to "isolate" and feel the muscle you are targeting. And I also think the vast majority of people quit because they look around and see people lifting way more than they do. So, they get intimidated, discouraged, and ultimately decide they can't keep up. Once you shake that (unhealthy) comparison, you end up getting a lot more done and much better results. Heavy is a great goal, but it shouldn't sabotage your self-confidence and your progress. Going home and comparing yourself to yourself last week, or last month, is all you should ever worry about.
