  1. There is one real annoying one that is not even mentioned at all and that is having the proper save points at the proper times in games nothing is more frustrating than playing halfway through a level then dying then having to have to replay that same level at the very beginning again all that previous time playing that level is wasted and another aspect is you want to quit playing the game because it is getting late in the night but you keep playing because you want to get to the next save point so you don’t lose all the progress that you made next thing you know it’s 3:00 o’clock in the morning and you only have 3 or 4 hours of sleep and you have a lot to do the next day and your tired all day long because of lack of sleep that happens to a lot of gamers including myself

  2. Worst level-scaling I ever played was Mass Effect Andromeda in the vanilla version. No matter how much you levelled or what gear you got the same stupid alien-dog-monsters (for instance) on the first world would still be like three levels higher than you, soak up way too much damage, and would kill you in like two hits. Although I will say that the goblins in Oblivion are a close second as they go from chump enemy early in the game to somehow being more dangerous than Dremora at high levels.

  3. Multiple boss forms is always so annoying. Maybe 2 or 3 at the most but when it starts going into like 6+ it’s just not fun anymore. You are no longer happy for defeating him and completing the game you’re just irritated and happy that its finally over

  4. I love grinding because I’m not a particularly great gamer, so if there is level scaling, I won’t play the game! I want my exploring and doing all side content to mean something.

  5. I think this guys just wanted to list everything he could think of. Carrying capacities should be limited even more or at least capacities for the amount of weapons, potions, sellable wares etc you can carry. Resident Evil does this the best where if you can’t fit all your items in that box your shit out of luck.

  6. I hate it when ultimate weapons are only available after you beat the last boss, or so late in the game that there is no use for them. FF games do this often, at least FF10 did not and had the dark aeons to use them against, but many games have no enemies left to use the best weapons against.

  7. I agree with almost all of them. The one I don't agree with is the lack of control over party members. Frankly, I'd prefer not having to deal with that – it seems like extra work and it's not fun for me.

  8. Creating your character but not being able to see it much during the game, particularly with first person RPGs.
Skill trees with a bunch of nonsense worthless skills.
The best weapons/skills locked until near the end of the game.
In game merchants that sell a bunch of useless crap.
    Romance options which are pathetic.

  9. 1. (For turn based RPGs) Death of your "pointman"/main character is game over even if party is still alive and could revive w/spells or items

    2. Crafting

    3. Boss featuring horde

  10. I don't think any ending was quite as off-putting as Mass Effect 3's, but currently playing Starfield, I'm not looking forward to an "end" where NG+ offers multiple outcomes. Granted, I've never gotten that far because the game's many technical issues killed my immersion and thus my entertainment, but I'm not excited about playing through several iterations of the same story either on some "Ground Hogs Day" repeat.

  11. My biggest grip with RPG's is when games are OVERHYPED to ridiculous acclaim. Yes, I'm looking at you Dragon's Dogma 2 and Starfield. Two utterly overrated, slogs that died as quickly as they came. lol

  12. Not big into RPGs, i like smaller elements of RPG in games but HATED having to collect a tone of worthless items and how they'd slow you down in cyberpunk.

    Just irritating
