i gave up on humans after season 2, not that it was bad, i completely forgot about season 3, and finally when i remembered that i missed season 3, it was too late, i forgot everything and had to start from season 1. I didnt bother to do that. Havent seen or even heard of any of the other 9 shows.
I watched Humans and Utopia as a result of this video – and enjoyed every second. Though you could have warned me about the soundtrack of Utopia – it's addictive.
I was heartbroken when I found out Santa Clarita Diet was not coming back. The last season was the best one so far and it had so many more ways it could have continued!!!
Humans was a great series, but it's sadly clear why it got canned after the third season. The writers got hung up on certain plot lines for far too long and basically killed its momentum. I don't blame people for tuning out. Note to writers: it's never a good idea to drag out plots when you don't know how to fill out x episodes till the planned season finale. Humans had a rich wellspring of world-building and cast to tap into, but they squandered it.
The last season of Dark Matter suffered a similar fate, only the problematic plot lines mostly centered around new characters. Rather than moving forward with the all too many threads they already spun, which would have easily taken an entire season to cover, the writers sidelined many of them to force new crew into the mix who did little more than fix the problems they created.
By the end of the video I lost count how many times I've said 'oooh they canceled it? No way… 😔' That explains why I haven't found any more episodes of these shows…
Not really recent, but the weirdest one for me was a 3 part SciFi mini from 2005 or so called The Lost Room. It was fairly popular, but produced by an outside group with a relatively expensive cast. SciFi declined to pick it up for a regular series, then turned around and mounted a similar but much less expensive series in Warehouse 13.
The latest version of The Tick is so much more than just a superhero parody. To have it snatched away just when we were going to figure out where Tick came from and why he has no memories is so unacceptable and disappointing.
While it only lasted 4 episodes (and was given up on WAY too soon) I liked the BBC adaption of Dirk Gently better as it didn't stray as far from the source material. That's not to say that the 2016 adaptation wasn't good, it was. But I also liked Stephen Mangan's portrayal of the title character better.
I didn't really like Dirk Gently, but would have loved to have seen adaptations of the original two Gently novels – especially Long Dark Teatime of the Soul <3
Dirk Gently is so great (Fiona Dourif is in there!) and its axing is a sin. I have no other word for it.

Loved Counterparts and Utopia
Do you guys know in which streaming services I can find all this series?
Dirk Gently had a problem that might be worth it’s own video, a show punished for the behavior of someone behind the scenes.
I loved Dirk and Counterparts also those were the only two on the list that I heard of and watched.
Those are all odd ways to spell Primeval
Humans was such an amazing, heartwarming and heartbreaking series!!
Dirk Gently's Holistic Agency is a show I praise to everyone who will listen.
Humans was about as disappointing as Detroit: Become Human which were almost the same thing
I only found Humans recently on Netflix. if I'd have known it was on Channel 4 earlier, I'd have watched it.
I wish they made more of it.
Yes humans loved humans oddly enough it showed off and told the truth on Humanity
i NEVER GAVE UP ON THE TICK…. AND i NEVER WILL 😉

D A R K is the best series in multi genres ever written. Never ever believe anything else.
Rights are not real they are fictional what people have now is privileges and free will everything begins with choice.
Oh did we now? well I wonder if shows ever give up on us think about that and let us fans know about it.

I resisted watching The Orville for SO long, then caved, fell in love with it, and it wasn't renewed. Story of my life.
