What's it good at? Seriously? Nothing! Except for possibly the electronics and radar, it turns, maneuvers, accelerates similar to a bus. Not a dogfighter at all. The brand new Boeing's F-15 with more powerful engines, yes, that could do something, but it's still behind the F-16 and MIG-29 and Su-27 in terms of turn rates and close combat performances. The engines thrust is the most important factor in turn rates, more important even than the aerodynamics of the plane. Just give enough thrust to a jet like the MIG-23ML (which turned very poor) and you'll be wondering how it can outturn even an F-16, Su-35 or MIG-35 (which are the best at constant turn rates btw). Some might think that the F-15QA is more agile because of the flight controls redesign. Those people have nothing to do with flight principles. The airplane is the same one. The FCS can only help the pilot handle the plane easier, NOT offering any lift or drag performances as that's only up to the pilot on how he uses the controls to achieve the same thing. Cheers!

Boeing claims EX is an evolution of QA. Maybe true, the Silent Eagle which was presented in mock-up some years ago, might be a "missing link" . No doubt the EX is formidable.

This does not “succeed” the F-22, it’s merely a bridge to the next greatest thing, and it’ll also be a tremendous help to the F-35 fleet. With its monster radar, it’ll be able to fly hi-cap, and also pass off their radar info to the F-35’s, while they sneak in and do the dirty work.

I can't imagine that a 50 year old airplane will have a chance against 5th generation jets, let alone the 6th generation. No matter how many weapons it can carry. It won't even see these jets before it is shot down.
f15ex will let an f22 shoot without turning on their radar or be a weapons mule to deliver weapons on target for previously located enemies
